Wing Chun is a fantastic martial art and one which I've spent many years practicing. One of the best things about it is the fact that it's so simple. Really the concepts and principles of the system and techniques can be taught in less than an hour. Obviously that doesn't mean you'll have a deep understanding or the ability to actually pull it off, but you will know what it's all about. This is unlike some martial arts that will take forever just to learn what the techniques are.

The first form which is called Sil Lim Tao (translating to "The Little Idea") is the most important form of the system and it helps train all the attributes and principles of the system. Failure to put in the time on this form will mean your skill in Wing Chun will always be poor. Believe me when I tell you that you must spend a great deal of time on this form and understand the movements inside and out. So with that in mind, let's take a look at it in today's video!
