This is a short, tough, but effective Core Training Circuit. It's always important to focus on multi-joint exercises as opposed to single-joint or isolation exercises. There is a time and place for them, but for real body-transforming results, multi-joint is the way to go!
So there are four exercises in this circuit and they are done back to back for 30 seconds each. You can rest if you need it, but the goal is to do them non-stop (I told you it was tough!). The circuit can be repeated one or two more times if you wish.
This can be incorporated a number of ways.
1) AS A WARM-UP - It's a great way to start off the workout. After some limbering up and dynamic movements, this is a great way to get started before the main workout.
2) AS A MAIN WORKOUT - There are many ways to structure a workout. As a Circuit, this could be used as a Core-Heavy workout with particular emphasis on that part of your body. Of course you would do other exercises as well. It could also be done as one of several circuits within the same workouts. Perhaps a AMRAP workout which is As Many Rounds As Possible. You could time yourself 10 minutes and do as many rounds as you can in that time. If you were doing that structure, then it would make more sense to count reps as opposed to timing the exercises.
3) AS A FINISHER - To cap off a great workout, this is also an amazing method and certainly will get you heart rate up for one final blast.
So there you have it! A Four Exercise 2 Minute Circuit to train your core dynamically and effectively!
